My brother called me this morning to report he had tried the first Gateway Tape and had a lucid dream afterwards. He related going to work in his dream (not my first choice if I were lucid) and solving a problem there which he was then able to apply in waking life. He isn’t someone I associate with any form of meditation practice, but he is fairly well read in some esoteric areas and has a number of his own unique spiritual and other experiences.
We had an extended conversation where he tried to relate the teachings in The Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece. I haven’t read much of the book, but it was interesting to hear him attempt to apply the models there to the general notion of vibration as it’s presented in the first tape. I would be more curious as to his thoughts on the tapes as a whole, along with the CIA report on the Gateway Process.
